Priyanka Chopra made a glamorous appearance in a halterneck red dress at an Amazon drinks reception in London on Tuesday evening, celebrating her series Citadel and its spin-offs. The 42-year-old actress looked elegant in the form-fitting gown, featuring wrap detailing at the waist that pooled at her feet.
She posed alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, 37, the star of the Indian spin-off Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Matilda De Angelis, 29, who stars in Italy’s Citadel: Diana. The original Citadel, co-led by Priyanka, is an American spy action series for Prime Video, produced by the Russo Brothers, known for their work with Marvel.
Priyanka beamed with joy as she rested her chin on her hand, showcasing her ‘Daddy’s lil girl’ wrist tattoo.
The actress got the inking, in her father’s handwriting, just before he died from cancer in 2013.
Along with Richard Madden’s Mason Kane, Priyanka’s character Nadia Sinh is a Citadel agent.
The couple discover a dangerous new organisation, Manticore, and their memories are wiped – with the pair living as strangers.
At the recent event, Matilda De Angelis dazzled in a plunging gold dress, celebrating the upcoming release of her Citadel spin-off on October 10. She beamed alongside Joe Russo, who sported a navy polo and a maroon-lined black leather jacket. Joe and his brother Anthony are among the executive producers of the ambitious $300 million series, which started production in April 2023.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu also turned heads in a strapless navy gown featuring a stunning sheer design at the bottom. Her series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, is set to debut in November and marks her Bollywood debut, having previously starred in Telugu and Tamil films. Filmed in India and Serbia, the show was created by the acclaimed duo Raj & DK.
Series one of Citadel had six episodes.
Citadel was renewed for a second series in March 2023, the month before it debuted, and Joe was announced to be directing all episodes.
Despite being one of the most expensive television shows ever created, Citadel has received mixed reviews.
Filming on the main series began in January 2021 and wrapped in December 2022. However, reshoots occurred in early and mid-2022 under the supervision of creator David Weil, the Russos, and series one director Thomas Sigel.
