After Ciara’s Vegas Standing Ovation, Russell Wilson Steps Into Hollywood With $8.5B Studio and Wife to Announce Production Debut

The Wilsons are ready for another adventure and prideful moment! Russell Wilson’s wife, Ciara Wilson, is on her “Out of This World Tour” with Missy Elliot. And the singer-songwriter is getting all the praise and applause from her fans on the tour.

The “Level Up” singer performed in multiple cities, including their once home, Seattle. Ciara even received a standing ovation after absolutely crushing a show in Vegas, with her biggest hits, including ‘Goodies,’ ‘Level Up,’ and ‘1, 2 Step.’ Soon after that CiCi joined her friend, Serena Williams, in lighting up the ESPYs. She teamed up with the tennis star to deliver an opening act, which led the crowd of the Dolby Theatre to jump to their feet with excitement. But that’s not all for the Grammy winner.

A grand Hollywood entry?

As per a latest tweet by quarterback, Russell Wilson, the couple “Can’t wait for our movie “Sarah’s Oil” to come out 2025!” Yes! Ciara Wilson will now be joined by her husband, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, in a movie production debut, in partnership with the $8.5 billion worth Amazon MGM Studio.

Wilson announced this on July 14, while introducing his and CiCi’s new production company, “Why Not You Productions.” He also shared a video of the location, Okmulgee, a city in Oklahoma, where the filming began about five days ago. In the clip, a camera panned towards left taking the viewers into a 1920 townscape. This update from the Wilson couple has left fans and their “Why Not You” members excited for the 2025 film.

The Wilson couple is on the rise!

Although Russell Wilson’s on-field thing is on ‘wait and watch’ for now, his and wife Ciara Wilson’s off-field works are getting high praise. Ciara has had a remarkable 20-year career marked by incredible achievements in music entertainment, and entrepreneurship. She has sold over 23 million records worldwide and produced numerous chart-topping hits like “Goodies,” “1, 2 Step,” and “Level Up.” In addition to her music, Ciara launched Beauty Marks Entertainment in 2017, a platform that spans music, media, film, fashion, and more.

Additionally, Ciara has made notable appearances in film and TV, most recently winning an “NAACP Image Award for her role in Warner Bros musical adaptation” of “The Color Purple” in 2023. She and her husband Russell Wilson also ventured into retail with The House of LR&C aiming to transform the industry with a focus on social impact. They also founded the Why Not You Foundation, dedicated to fighting poverty through education and empowering youth. Their efforts were further recognized with a New York Times bestselling children’s book, “Why Not You,” inspired by their foundation’s work.

As the couple’s off-field works are running on the right path, similarly, the Steelers are expecting the same from Russell Wilson this upcoming season. Hope Wilson shines this time on the gridiron too!
