The Boys’ Final Season: Paul Reiser Drops Bombshell with His Return!

Although The Legend appears in only two episodes of The Boys, he will return for the show’s fifth and final season. However, Paul Reiser, who played the role in the iconic superhero series, is unsure of what his storyline would be.

“Yeah, there’s been talks about that,” Reiser told ComicBook when asked about a possible return to the series. “I think there is something they’re writing for me. That was so fun. It’s not my kind of show, and famously, I told my son, who’s now writing these Marvel Aliens comics… but when I got offered the role on The Boys, I had not only not seen it, I hadn’t heard of it, and I said, ‘Hey, do you know about this show The Boys? They want me to be on it. What do you know about it?’ He says, ‘Oh, it’s great, and you’ll hate it.’

The actor went on to detail the conversation with his son and revealed what sold him on the part. “I went, ‘Why would I hate it?’ He goes, ‘Oh, just watch,'” Reiser continued. “And I remember watching it and going, ‘Oh, wow, this is way over the top.’ But in short order, I saw, they’re not just stretching it for the sake of it – that’s the point of it. It’s so over-the-top and graphic and funny and smart. And the role was very funny. I was like, ‘What’s the guy called?’ And it’s like, ‘The Legend,’ and I went, ‘sold.’

The Legend, a former executive at Vought International who was the Vice President of Hero Management before Madelyn Stillwell, first appeared in The Boys Season 3. The character is a relic of the old Hollywood days and works as an informant for the Boys. He has a vast knowledge of the supes, as he was privy to many of Vought’s secrets in his former role. However, The Legend is not on good terms with Billy Butcher, as there is some bad blood between them.

Jared Padalecki Will Appear in The Boys

Another actor who will likely appear in The Boys final season is Jared Padalecki. Series creator Eric Kripke recently confirmed plans for the Walker alum to join the cast and reunite with his Supernatural co-star Jenson Ackles. “The value of that is to break the internet. So we’ll see whether it’s right for the story,” Kripke said of the reunions. “But yes, it’s occurred to me that putting those two in a scene together would destroy much of the world, and that’s appealing.”
