The Boys season 4, episode 5 trailer confirms that the new episode will feature three Generation V characters.
Season 4 is the first to take place after the events of the spinoff’s first season, and there have already been several crossovers between the shows, such as Vought CEO Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie) thanking Homelander (Antony Starr) for saving her during the chaos at Godolkin University. Gen V season 2 is now under production, however some of the series’ questions can already be answered in The Boys.
A teaser trailer for The Boys season 4, episode 5 features Gen V members Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips), Sam Riordan (Asa Germann), and Tek Knight (Derek Wilson) inside Vought Tower, confirming their appearance. The trailer also mentions the Supe-đđžđđing virus, which was released in Gen V. Check out the trailer below:

Inside Vought Tower, Homelander discusses doing horrific things to preserve the country from corruption. He confronts Cate and Sam, who are standing next to A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), with Tek Knight and Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) in the background.
Will Cate or Sam Join The Seven?
The Seven Still Has An Open Spot.
Despite the additions of Sage and Firecracker (Valorie Curry) and an actor playing Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell) after Homelander đđžđđed the original version of the Supe, the Seven currently consists of only six members. Homelander has publicly indicated that he is holding the final seat for his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti). While that may be true, Ryan is too young, inexperienced, and untrained to join the Seven right now, and leaving the position vacant for too long leaves the squad more vulnerable.
Cate and Sam have been recognized by Vought as the new Guardians of Godolkin, and Homelander has spoken directly to them in Vought Tower, suggesting that one of them may be given the final position in the Seven. At the very least, Homelander is personally authorizing the young Supes to conduct heinous acts in the name of combating corruption. While Cate and Sam believe they have been liberated after successfully resisting attempts to control them at Godolkin University, they fail to understand that they are once again being controlled, this time as part of Sage and Homelander’s long-term strategy.
Ultimately, Cate or Sam will only be added to the Seven if it benefits Sage’s strategy. Cate and Sam do not need to be officially members of the Seven to continue their role as pawns for Homelander and Vought. The entire scope of Cate and Sam’s powers when unrestrained were revealed in Gen V season 1, and with Homelander allowing them to unleash those powers now, they pose a significant threat in The Boys season 4 and, most likely, Gen V season 2.
