Tyson Fury breaks his silence after drunken incident at a Morecambe pub as he reveals he’s received lots of calls and messages from people worried about his mental health

Tyson Fury has been inundated with messages from concerned fans and friends after he was caught on camera falling on his face during a boozy night out.

The 35-year-old hit the headlines earlier this month after a trip to a pub in his hometown of Morecambe ended with him face-planting the pavement.

This came just three weeks after Fury had suffered the first defeat of his professional career by losing to Oleksandr Usyk via a split decision in Saudi Arabia.

But Fury laughed off his drunken fall in a recent interview with FUROCITY.

However, the former WBC heavyweight champion of the world – who has previously been very open about his struggles with depression and mental health issues – suggested that he understood the concern.

Former WBC heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury recently spoke to FUROCITY

It was Fury’s first interview since losing his world title to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk on May 18

Discussing what he has been doing since the Usyk fight, Fury said: ‘I’ve just been chilling out really, probably training five times per week.

‘What else have I been doing? I went away in the caravan with the kids. I’ve just been taking life very simple.

‘I got p***ed-up about two weeks ago and fell over on my face, didn’t do any damage though. I’m still good looking!

‘Apart from that I’ve not been doing much. I have lots of messages and lots of people phoning me asking me if I am alright.

‘You go out and have a drunken night out and all of a sudden [people are worried] you’re going to jump in front of a train.

‘I’m not sure but, obviously, from my past history people are concerned but, yeah, apart from that, I’ve not been doing much to be fair.

‘I’ve just been chilling out, spending time with my dad, my brothers, my wife, my kids.’

Usyk won by a split decision as Fury suffered the first defeat of his professional career

Fury laughed when recalling a recent night out that ended with him falling over outside a pub

Fury then said that it is ‘good to have a bit of time off’ after three training camps in the past 12 months.

However, he conceded: ‘My time off is different to other people’s time off because I’m still training five times a week.’

Fury was also asked for his thoughts on his defeat by Usyk after having some time to reflect on the fight.

He said that he still believed that he beat Usyk but would not be ‘crying over spilt milk’.

Fury also claimed that the result of that fight on May 18 has not ‘affected’ him. He explained: ‘It could have went my way, could have not. I’d still be doing the same s*** anyway.

‘Undisputed champion or not, I’m going to still be doing the same stuff as I’m doing now.

‘[Picking up] dog s***, dropping the kids off, running, having an odd beer until I fall over, that’s what I do. I don’t really do much else.’
