Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy have revealed their upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine is officially complete.
The Canadian actor has revealed his next appearance as Deadpool is officially ready to be released in cinemas next month.
He took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday and posted a black-and-white photo of him and the film’s director Levy sitting in an editing suite, working hard to cut the film together.
He wrote in the caption, “And that’s all she wrote for post-production. Feels like a million years of work went by in a blink. Sitting next to this guy made it all so sweet… Hard to walk away.”
Levy reposted the picture on his Stories and admitted he was sad to finish the post-production phase.
“Sad it’s over. But can’t WAIT to show you what we made together,” he commented.
Filming on the movie began in May 2023 but was suspended for many months due to the actors’ strike. It resumed production in November and filming wrapped in January, meaning Reynolds and Levy have been editing the footage on and off for almost five months.
The duo, who previously worked together on Free Guy and The Adam Project, will soon be embarking on a major publicity tour, most likely alongside Hugh Jackman, who returns as Wolverine.
The movie, which is released in cinemas from 25 July, also stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen and Morena Baccarin.
