Jason Aldean’s 30-track 10th studio album, Macon, Georgia, is now available in its entirety. After dropping the first half of the project in late 2021, Aldean completed the record with the addition of the final half of the project on Friday (April 22).

Altogether, Macon, Georgia includes 20 new songs and 10 never-before-heard live tracks. Among the expansive tracklist is “If I Didn’t Love You,” Aldean’s wildly successful duet with Carrie Underwood. The song recently became his 26th career chart-topper and served as the lead single from the project.

Named after Jason Aldean’s hometown of Macon, Georgia, the project was inspired by the superstar’s upbringing in the Peach State and the proud influence fellow Georgians had on him.

“Macon has a rich music history with the Allman Brothers, Otis Redding, Little Richard, and more being from there,” Aldean recently told MusicRow. “But for me, it’s my hometown. It’s where this whole ride started. It’s where I learned to be a musician and play on stage for the first time.

“When I was coming up, there was a lot of people that were coming out of Georgia that almost made it seem like this wasn’t an unreachable goal. Trisha Yearwood, Travis Tritt, and Alan Jackson were coming out of Georgia. I came up playing some of the same bars and towns, and doing some of the same stuff.”

Aldean’s signature arena-ready country/rock sound is found throughout the project, however, it’s the sentimental moments that stand out among the rest. Tracks like the tender “Your Mama” and “God Made Airplanes” have become instant fan favorites upon release.

While “God Made Airplanes” details the aftermath of a breakup, “Your Mama,” plays out like a letter to Aldean’s 4-year-old son, Memphis. While he didn’t have a hand in writing the tune ( it was co-written by Troy Verges, Ben West, Josh Miller, and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard) the Georiga native says it’s “probably the most personal thing that I’ve ever recorded.”

“It’s a song that is so out of left field for me because it’s not simply the kind of thing that I would cut. But when I heard it, to me, it’s more of a letter to my son,” he told Music Mayhem. “I have three daughters who are amazing, but I have one son. And, to me, it was more of a song for him about his mom, Brit. To me, that was kind of where it came from. And the lyrics were originally ‘came from California,’ so I changed that to Carolina because that’s where she’s from.”

Several weeks after the release of Macon, Georgia, the platinum-selling superstar will hit the road on his Rock N’ Roll Cowboy Tour, featuring special appearances from Gabby Barrett, John Morgan, and Dee Jay Silver.

Kicking off in Scranton, Pennsylvania on July 15th, the tour will visit 34 cities all over the country this summer.
