DJ Akademiks has consistently supported Drake during his conflict with Kendrick Lamar. All things considered, Akademiks has acknowledged that Kendrick is now leading. But Akademiks has supported Drizzy with all of his heart at every turn. Ak has never hidden his feelings for Drake. Not to add, he has previously mentioned that the Canadian megastar messages him regularly and occasionally even provides him with inside information.

Ak has continued to discuss the topic with Drake and Kendrick throughout his most recent live streaming. That being said, he chose to go over Kendrick’s earlier freestyles in his most recent broadcast. You can watch Akademiks walk his audience through some of Kendrick’s most memorable moments in the video below, whether they were on Funk Flex or Big Boy. As Kendrick performed his freestyles, Akademiks was heard making fun of him and calling him a “tryhard.”

DJ Akademiks Is Not A Fan Of Kendrick… At All

Eventually, Akademiks made it known that he was simply being a troll. In fact, he acknowledged that Lamar raps on a whole different level and that his ability to rap on the fly is truly special. Many artists bring pre-written verses to radio stations so that the “freestyles” don’t sound bad. However, this is antithetical to the spirit of freestyling. For Ak, what Kendrick is able to do is a clear indication of his talent. That said, Ak has always made it clear that he is a troll, so no one should be surprised by the first half of this clip.
