The 35-year-old quarterback and his family decided to move on from the Minnesota Vikings after six seasons with the franchise.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN — Kirk Cousins sold the last remnant of his time as the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old multi-millionaire athlete, husband, and father of two sold his Inver Grove Heights home for $1,250,000 on May 14, property records on Realtor show. That’s well above the $738,500 he bought it for in 2018, when he signed with the Vikings.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house was built in 2004 and spans 4,036 square feet. It has a four-car garage and sits on 2.63 acres.

The estate isn’t splashy, but it made for a quick commute to the Vikings’ practice facility in nearby Eagan and is about 30 minutes from U.S. Bank Stadium in Downtown Minneapolis.

The house was featured prominently in the Netflix documentary “Quarterback,” which followed the personal and professional lives of Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, and Marcus Mariota for one NFL season.

During that season, Cousins led the Vikings to a 13-4 record, only to lose at home to the New York Giants in the wildcard round of the playoffs. The following year, in 2023, Cousins tore his Achilles and was sidelined for most of the season.

In March, after six seasons with the Vikings, Cousins opted to move on and signed a $100 million guaranteed contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

“After significant and positive dialogue with Kirk and his representatives, we were unable to reach agreement on a contract that fits the short and long-term visions for both Kirk and the Minnesota Vikings,” said Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah in a statement.
