Speaking in an interview, Rebel once said: “Being unique and different was a really good thing. I walked into my agent’s office for the first time, they looked at me and said, ‘Wow, we have nobody on our books like you.’”

“And they signed me on my second day here… I wouldn’t ever want to compete with what I call ‘the glamours’ – the really gorgeous people. I’m about the brain, the heart, and what’s on the inside. I feel really lucky to be the body type I am.”

Rebel revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she lost over 3 kilos in just 4 days. “I lost 8 pounds shooting my number in 4 days,” she said before disclosing that temperatures reached nearly 100 Fahrenheit on set.“One, because there’s a lot of physicalities… but also, they heated up the set very high, to almost 100 Fahrenheit, so that we could never cool down.”

She revealed to the outlet that when she decided to “physically transform”, she received a “lot of pushback” from her team.

“I got a lot of pushback from my own team, actually, here in Hollywood, when I said, ‘I’m gonna do this year of health, I really feel like I’m gonna physically transform and change my life,” she said.

Her team are said to have questioned “why” she would want to do physically transform.“And they were like, ‘Why? Why would you wanna do that?’ Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person.”

She explained to the outlet that “even though I was still very confident being bigger,” she knew that some of her “eating behaviours” were “not healthy.”

“Even though I was still very confident being bigger and loved myself, would rock a red carpet being double the size and triple the weight of other actresses, I still felt confident in that,” she said.“But I knew deep down inside that some of the emotional eating behaviours I was doing were not healthy.”

She also admitted that she used foods to help numb her emotions.

“Like I did not need a tub of ice cream every night,” she said. “That was me kind of numbing emotions using food, which wasn’t the healthiest thing.”

In an interview with People the Pitch Perfect actress revealed that a male co-star in one of the films she starred in called her into a room and then pulled down his pants.

“He called me into a room and pulled down his pants,” she alleged, without saying his name. The actress then said that he asked her to perform an inappropriate act in front of his friends.

“It was awful and disgusting,” she told the magazine. “And all the behavior afterwards — this was all before #MeToo — where they kind of tried to destroy me and my career. If it had happened after #MeToo, then I could have just blasted them.”

But, Wilson didn’t just leave it, stating that because she’s “a lawyer” she “documented it.”“Definitely amongst industry circles, I made sure people knew what happened,” she explained to the outlet.

But at the same time, I was like, ‘Oh well, do the right thing, be a professional and finish the movie.’ Now I would never do that,” she continued.“I thought even complaining to my agency was a big step. And to complain to the studio. I found out I was like the fourth person to complain about the guy. Such gross behavior, but a lot of women have had it way worse.

“If it happened again, I would probably stand up for myself even more just because of the bravery of the other women that have stood up and now allowed me an opportunity,” she admitted.
