Blake Lively Shares What It’s Like to Raise Son Olin After Having Three Daughters, and It’s Absolutely Adorable.

Blake Lively has been a girl mom for 10 years. But now that her and husband Ryan Reynolds have brought a boy into the family, their family dynamic is changing a bit. The Another Simple Favor star dished about the real difference between raising boys and girls in a new interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and our hearts are melting from all the cuteness.

Lively opened up about her 2-year-old son Olin in the interview with host Seth Meyers. “My little boy is so romantic,” she said,  “When I walk in, he goes, ‘Mama, my love!’”

Stop it right now! “Mama, my love!”?! That is the sweetest thing we’ve ever heard, oh my goodness. During the interview, she gushed that her son is a “dream,” but that the house is still “chaos at all times” with four kids, including daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5.

Now that she has a son, the chaos is “different,” according to Lively. The Gossip Girl alum explained, “He just, like, announces that I’m the love of his life at all times, which is just the best feeling in the world.”

“I get dressed every day like I’m a girl in middle school,” she continued. “Like, ‘Oh, my gosh … I hope he, like, says something.’”

So cute! Especially because her daughters will “criticize outfits,” according to Lively. Betty, especially, is a little dynamo. She told Meyers that her youngest daughter is a “blend” of her birthday twins Napoleon Bonaparte and Jennifer Lawrence. “She’s the funniest person in the world, but she will definitely rule the world with authoritarian leadership,” Lively explained.

One thing about kids is they will always keep you on your toes!

In an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast last summer, Reynolds opened up about their wild homelife with four kids. “Embrace the chaos,” the Deadpool & Wolverine star said about his and his wife’s parenting motto, per PEOPLE. He added that with “four kids — like, okay, nothing’s going to be tidy ever again.” But “it will, though, when they all leave the house.”

Reynolds shared how his wife “always says, ‘They’re all under our roof right now. The whole family’s under our roof right now. We have them all.’ And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?”

It’s definitely a good perspective, although one that’s not always easy to remember in the moment. Good thing Olin’s there to give his mom a pep talk though whenever she needs it!
