Blake Lively offered an apology to Taylor Swift in light of the Justin Baldoni lawsuit.

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have reportedly mended their friendship after a brief fallout stemming from the actress’ legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni. According to sources, Lively apologized to Swift for inadvertently dragging her into the lawsuit, and the two are now back on good terms.

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift fixing their friendship amid lawsuit

The rift between the longtime friends reportedly began when Justin Baldoni named Taylor Swift in his $400 million defamation countersuit against Blake Lively. In legal filings, Baldoni claimed that Lively, along with her husband Ryan Reynolds and Swift, “ambushed” him during a meeting about their film. He also alleged that Lively referred to herself as Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi while calling Swift and Reynolds her “dragons”—a claim that reportedly upset the Grammy-winning singer.

Sources revealed that Taylor Swift felt “used” after being pulled into Blake Lively’s legal drama, especially since she had no prior knowledge that Baldoni would be there during their hangout. The situation worsened when his legal team suggested they might depose Swift as part of the case, though her involvement remains uncertain.

Despite the tension, insiders now confirm that the Gossip Girl star has since apologized, and the two have reconciled. “(Swift and Lively) have worked everything out. Blake apologized, and they are talking again,” a source told NewsNation. Blake Lively reportedly expressed regret over involving Taylor Swift in the lawsuit, acknowledging how it affected their friendship.

Earlier this year, fans were quick to notice that Lively was excluded from her VIP guest list for the 2025 Super Bowl. This came off as a shocker since the two had cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs together the previous year. However, with the apology reportedly now made, their decade-long friendship appears to be back on track.

For those unaware, the lawsuit between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues. The latter’s legal team has listed Swift, along with other It Ends With Us cast members and industry executives, as potential witnesses.
