Former couple Jiyeon of T-ARA and professional baseball player Hwang Jae Gyun, who finalized their divorce last year, have each posted emotionally charged messages on their personal social media accounts, drawing attention from fans and media alike.

On April 6th, Jiyeon shared a video of herself singing in a car, captioned with the cryptic phrase “Kono daeshin Kano”. The clip features her performing Lee Ye Joon’s song, with lyrics like “We’ve grown tired of fighting over the same things… Was I at peace that day?”, “I cried as much as the cigarettes you smoked”, and “Would we have been happy if we hadn’t met at all?” The heartfelt lyrics led many to speculate that Jiyeon was expressing her feelings post-divorce.

Just a day earlier, on April 5th, Hwang Jae Gyun uploaded a serene photo of a snow-covered lake with the quote: “You must pass the test, endure the hardship, and resist temptation.” The reflective tone of the message suggested he, too, was sharing his current emotional state.

Jiyeon and Hwang married in December 2022, but announced their divorce in November 2023, less than a year later. At the time, both parties stated they had “agreed to separate after being unable to overcome their differences.”

The recent posts have reignited public interest in the couple’s short-lived marriage, with many offering messages of support to both as they move forward separately.
