Fans Furious as G-Dragon Keeps Them Waiting for Over an Hour Without Apology!

On March 29, G-Dragon held his “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]” at the Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province.

Originally scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM, the concert was delayed due to bad weather and strong winds. A notice about the delay was posted at 1:00 PM, five and a half hours before showtime. Coupang Play posted on its official SNS, “We ask for your understanding and cooperation for the safety of the audience and smooth operation of the concert. We will do our best to ensure a safe viewing experience.”

As a result, the VIP soundcheck entrance was moved from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, the soundcheck itself from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and general admission for R, S and A sections from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The main concert was announced to be delayed by 30 minutes, set to begin at 7:00 PM.

However, by 7:30 PM, the concert still hadn’t started. Despite the temperature dropping to -2°C due to the lingering cold, G-Dragon’s side gave no further updates about the delay.

Perhaps recognizing the growing tension, at 7:30 PM, the team abruptly began playing the music videos for “DRAMA“, “POWER” and “TOO BAD (feat. Anderson .Paak)” on the giant screen. This backfired as the audience responded with loud boos throughout the venue.

The actual concert finally started at exactly 7:43 PM, a delay of 1 hour and 13 minutes from the original time and 43 minutes even after the announced postponement.

After opening the show, G-Dragon greeted fans “How have you been? I’m really shy, so if you don’t cheer loudly, I’ll sulk and leave. So let’s both try our best“, making no mention of the lengthy delay.

On March 30, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, explained that his concert on the 29th was delayed due to severe weather, including strong winds, snow, and freezing temperatures. For safety reasons, the performance was postponed twice.

G-Dragon monitored conditions throughout the day and participated in a soundcheck. The agency stressed the delays were made to avoid risks to the audience. He is set to perform again on the 30th at Goyang Sports Complex.

Full Statement from Galaxy Corporation

Hello, this is Galaxy Corporation.

We would like to address the delays related to the “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN KOREA“, presented by Coupang Play” held on the 29th.

Due to severe weather conditions at the venue, including strong gusts of wind, the performance was initially delayed for safety reasons, and this was followed by a second delay as part of the same safety measures.

On the day of the concert, temperatures dropped below freezing, and starting in the morning, heavy snow and rain were followed by strong winds in the afternoon. G-DRAGON personally remained on-site throughout the day, monitoring the weather and conducting a soundcheck at 2 p.m. as part of his rehearsal schedule.

Despite thorough preparations, the decision to delay the show was made out of concern for audience safety, particularly regarding the use of certain stage equipment under such conditions.

We sincerely thank and apologize to the fans who waited patiently in the cold for a long time. G-DRAGON also expressed his apologies during the event, and once again, we deeply appreciate your understanding and support.
