Blake Lively isn’t only a famous Hollywood actress, but was apparently also a child prodigy.

In a resurfaced interview with Marie Claire, Blake, 37, claimed to have attended first grade when she was only three-years-old – despite kids typically having to be at least six.

‘Blake Lively has a history of lying,’ TikTok user Caitlin Marshall alleged in the beginning of a new video, before sharing the ‘bizarre’ interview she found in a 2009 issue of Marie Claire.

Caitlin shared a snippet from the interview, in which the interviewer asked Blake about attending 13 schools growing up.

‘I did,’ she confirmed.’ When I was only three years old, my mom enrolled me in the first grade.’

She explained it was because her older brother was supposed to start school, but he didn’t want to go alone.

‘So my mom told them I was six years old since I was so tall,’ she explained.

‘But after a few weeks, they said they would have to put me in the mentally disabled classes because I wasn’t up to pace with the rest of the kids.

The passage concluded: ‘They thought that I was slow because all I wanted was sleep while the other kids were doing their projects, so my mom took me out of school.’

Caitlin then went on to explain that like Blake, she also grew up in California, and didn’t think that Blake’s story tracked.

‘You have to be five years old to start kindergarten,’ she shared.

‘And last time I checked, you typically have to divide a lot of documents when you have to enroll a child at school,’ she continued.

‘I have a three-year-old and when I enrolled him in pre-school, we had to provide the vaccination records from the doctor which had his birthdate and all sorts of stuff,’ the mom added,

‘You can’t just enroll a kid in school.’

Caitlin continued saying it doesn’t matter that Blake was tall, or had a wide vocabulary, the difference between a three-year-old and a six-year-old is vastly different.

‘Either this is complete BS, and she lied to a very large publication like Marie Claire to, I don’t know, seem more interesting, or, her parents lied to a school for fun because her brother – who is older than her by six years – just didn’t want to go to school alone,’ Caitlin mused.

‘I just found this incredibly bizarre,’ she concluded the video.

California law requires a child to be six years old on or before September 1 for the beginning of the school year and each school year thereafter to be legally eligible for first grade, as per the California Department of Education.

Users were equally as puzzled over the resurfaced interview, posting their opinions

‘My guess is this was some tall tale her parents told among friends, at birthdays, at auditions etc. to make Blake look unusually talented and she believed it,’ suggested one viewer.

‘Either way, her brother is six years older than her. If she was three, he would be nine “starting school”? This girl cannot open her mouth without lying,’ commented another.

‘Your 3yo today is not relevant when you were 5yo. Back then, rules were different. I was never asked for proof of age, vaccinations, etc in 1998,’ chimed in someone else.
