When Life Gives You Tangerines Volume 3 Teasers
The popular Netflix series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” has unveiled new teasers for its third part! A story about love and life by screenwriter Lim Sang Choon, “When Life Gives You Tangerines” follows the adventures of “the remarkable rebel” Ae Sun (played by IU) and “unyielding iron” Gwan Sik (played by Park Bo Gum) through four vibrant seasons on Jeju Island.
The newly released autumn poster captures attention with its depiction of four individuals standing amidst fallen leaves in a sunset-lit Seoul. Notably, it features the middle-aged characters Ae Sun and Gwan Sik, their daughter Geum Myeong (played by IU), and a young man greeting them. Ae Sun, linking arms with Geum Myeong, smiles warmly with an expression full of happiness and pride. In contrast, Gwan Sik looks at the young man with a disapproving and curt facial expression, creating a stark difference from Ae Sun’s demeanor. Geum Myeong’s slightly shy facial expression, paired with the polite and respectful posture of the young man, raises questions about his identity and what story lies ahead.
Volume 3 of “When Life Gives You Tangerines” promises to expand its narrative, transitioning from the story of Ae Sun and Gwan Sik to delve deeper into Geum Myeong’s life, enriching the series with even more layered storytelling as the season deepens into autumn. The accompanying teaser begins with a concerned remark from middle-aged Ae Sun and a curt phone conversation with Geum Myeong, setting the stage for Geum Myeong’s journey as she steps out of Ae Sun and Gwan Sik’s embrace to live her own life. The newly released stills also vividly capture fragments of the characters’ lives in Volume 3. One image shows Ae Sun sitting in front of a wardrobe, while another depicts Gwan Sik clasping hands with someone, seemingly making a heartfelt request. These images hint at the passage of time and the characters’ dedication to their respective roles in life.
Another set of images featuring Geum Myeong and Young Beom together radiates the excitement and tenderness of love, but another still, where the two are seated for a meal with Young Beom’s mother, shifts to an awkward atmosphere, sparking curiosity about the unfolding narrative between the two.
Meanwhile, a still of Ae Sun, Eun Myeong, and the *haenyeo* (female divers) aunties taking a commemorative photo in front of a shop highlights the enduring lives of those who continue to live together in the same neighborhood, adding richness and depth to the story.
Episodes 9 through 12 of “When Life Gives You Tangerines” will be released on March 21. Stay tuned!
