Angel Reese took to social media shut down her criticism.
The WNBA star decided to draw a line under recent social media posts about her play style.

Despite averaging 13.6 points and 13 rebounds in her debut season, Reese is still not immune to criticism.
The WNBA star was drafted as the seventh pick last year and enjoyed a strong rookie campaign that was eventually derailed by a wrist injury.
But before she was sidelined, the 23-year-old made the All-Star game and was still able to break league and franchise records.
With 26 double-doubles last year, Reese posted the second-most double-doubles in a single season in WNBA history and the most ever as a rookie.
15 of those 26 double-doubles came consecutively, which is another record.
Reese also had a double-double (12 points and 11 rebounds) in the WNBA All-Star game, becoming the first-ever rookie to achieve that.
Across the season, the WNBA star formed a solid front court partnership with Kamila Cardoso on defense and with the arrival of Ariel Atkins, their team just got better.
Nevertheless, despite such a strong season, fans online have been in the midst of a debate about Reese’s play style and how it has dramatically changed since her injury.
The Chicago Sky forward has had a history of injuries dating back to her freshman year, when in 2020 she broke her right foot and had to undergo surgery before being sidelined for 12 weeks.
Such an injury has fans believing that Reese has become less explosive as a result.

This is because a video of her time in Maryland resurfaced, showing the star doing euro step layups and other impressive offensive moves that are not seen from her as much anymore.
Embedded in the video, it read, “Angel Reese when she was at Maryland before her injury.”
The fan then captioned the post, “i’m jealous of people that got to witness this (Maryland) era of my goat in real time.”
However, Reese was quick to shut down fans over this subject and even pointed how the video in discussion was after her injury.
“Y’all literally don’t do yall research. this wasn’t before my injury so stop with the narrative lmfaoo,” the Chicago Sky star tweeted on Thursday.
Reese will have plenty of time to prove her doubters wrong when the WNBA returns on May. 17, as her Chicago Sky take on the Indiana Fever in a blockbuster clash on opening weekend.
