Elon Musk has doled out $35 million on a sprawling Texas compound for his various exes and eleven children to live together, according to insiders.
The billionaire reportedly purchased the multi-mansion Austin estate with his expanding family in mind, hoping the youngest of his children could conveniently grow up around each other.
Four insiders told the New York Times that Musk bought the 14,00-square-foot mansion so his family could live in ‘adjoining properties’, allowing him to ‘schedule time’ for his youngest kids.
And while it is unclear if all Musk’s exes are on board, Shivon Zilis, an executive at Musk’s brain tech start-up Neuralink, has reportedly already moved into one of the mansions on the Austin compound.
Zilis and Musk welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, two years ago, and a third child born earlier this year.
The richest man in the world often warns that depopulation is one of the ‘biggest threats’ to the world, and has built his $270 billion fortune largely on renewability.
This recently saw his rocket company SpaceX successfully catch its Starship rocket with giant mechanical arms, while his electric car company Tesla has grown to the world’s most valuable car company.
Musk has recently relocated to Pennsylvania in hopes of helping Donald Trump retake the White House, but sources told the Times that when he is in Texas he often lives in a mansion a 10 minute walk from his planned family compound.
The $35 million Austin estate is reportedly designed in the style of Tuscan villas, and includes a main house as well as at least one six-bedroom mansion behind.
Musk’s plan was reportedly to have all three of his children’s mothers move into the enclave along with his eleven children, however his tumultuous family life means some may relatives may not want to join.
Musk raised headlines in 2022 when he welcomed his tenth and eleventh children with Zilis, who he reportedly donated sperm to
This includes Musk’s transgender daughter Vivian Wilson, 20, who changed her name and said she wanted ‘nothing to do’ with her father as they had a public falling-out.
Elon may have then buried their relationship earlier this year as he claimed his ‘son’ had been ‘𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed by the woke mind virus’ when explaining his support for Donald Trump.
And while Zilis has already moved into one of the homes with her children, Musk’s other exes have not yet reciprocated.
Claire Boucher, the musician better known as Grimes, has been locked in a bitter custody battle with the billionaire that could delay any move to Texas.
The former couple drew headlines four years ago when they welcomed a son and named him X AE A-XII. They have since had a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, and 2-year-old son, Tau Techno Mechanicus.
The birth of Musk’s most recent children in 2022 also caused an apparent family rift as Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, became pregnant with twins.
It later emerged that Musk had donated sperm to Zilis through IVF, the same method Musk welcomed his children with first wife Justine Musk, and Zilis was pregnant at the same time Grimes was expecting her second child with Musk.
Grimes reportedly only found out Musk was the father of Zilis’s children a month after they were born, and Elon reportedly added insult to injury by giving a name they had decided for their daughter – Valkyrie – and gave it to one of Zilis’ twins, sources told the Times.
Musk also has adult children with his first wife, Justine Musk, including Vivian, Vivian’s twin Griffin, both 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian, all 18.
They also had a 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 tragically pass away at just 10-weeks-old in 2002.
Although Elon may be looking to the future and his new generation of offspring for his Austin compound, sources told the Times that ‘there is room’ for his adult children if they want to visit.
